Formal Areas
There are 2 formal living areas; the living room and adjacent study. The doorway between the two rooms has a 15-light glass door (currently dismounted and in the carriage house but easily replaced). In addition, the living room is also adjacent to the dining room which is also separated by double 15-light French doors (which are in place). All 3 rooms have wood burning fireplaces which are plumbed for gas logs (which we use).
Living Room
Study
The study is located to the right as you enter the living room from the front porch. Like the living room, it has a wood-burning fireplace and is plumbed for natural gas (which we use for the gas logs). There is a door from this room into the master bedroom but we keep it closed.
There are built-in bookcases with a glass-fronted lockable gun cabinet (which we use as a display case).
Dining Room
The formal dining room is adjacent to the living room and is accessible from there thru French doors. There is also access from the kitchen and the hallway.
The wood-burning fireplace is plumbed for natural gas. There is chair rail and crown and dental molding. The chandelier currently hanging is not included but is available.
Front Hall
The front hall contains the staircase and doorways to the living, dining and master bedroom as well as to a small powder room set under the staircase. You There is a chair rail both here and along to stairs to the second floor. At the end of the hall is a door leading into a small back foyer which originally was the rear entrance but now accesses the screened porch as well as the laundry room and kitchen.
Master Bedroom & Bath
The Master Bedroom is on the main level just off the hall. It has a wood-burning fireplace plumbed for natural gas which we use with gas logs. Adjoining the bedroom is the master bath which we recently updated, installing a walk-in shower and double vanity made from an antique table. There are two vessel sinks.
The bathroom shower has a large stained glass window made in the monastery at Conyers, GA and installed by the previous owners. The tumbled marble floor is heated and controlled by a thermostat on the bathroom wall.
